This four-day journey starts with a ferry ride from Nagapattinam to Kankesanthurai in Jaffna and gives you three full days to discover a very different side of the island.

The tour is centred around Reecha Resort in Kilinochchi, where you will stay for all three nights. From here, we have planned separate trips to Jaffna, Trincomalee and Mannar.

The journey brings together places of worship, Tamil heritage, coastal scenery and the quieter landscapes of Northern Sri Lanka. Since there is no need to change hotels every day, the trip is also comfortable for families, senior travellers and small groups.

Your 4-Day Journey

Day 1 – Wednesday

Nagapattinam → KKS → Jaffna → Kilinochchi

• Your Sri Lanka trip begins at Nagapattinam Passenger Terminal.
• After completing the required departure formalities, board the ferry for the sea journey to Kankesanthurai (KKS) in Northern Sri Lanka.
• On arrival at KKS, complete immigration formalities and meet our local team.
• The rest of the day is planned for Jaffna sightseeing. This is your first introduction to the distinctive culture, temples and everyday life of Northern Sri Lanka.
• Later, drive to Kilinochchi and check in at Reecha Resort.
• Enjoy dinner and settle in for your first night in Sri Lanka.
• Night Stay: Reecha Resort, Kilinochchi

Day 2 – Thursday

Kilinochchi → Trincomalee → Kilinochchi

• After breakfast, start early for Trincomalee.
• Located on Sri Lanka's eastern coast, Trincomalee is known for its temples, natural harbour, beaches and beautiful sea views.
• The day's sightseeing will cover the important places in and around Trincomalee, including the sacred Thirukoneswaram Temple.
• Lunch will be arranged during the trip.
• After completing the day's visits, drive back to Kilinochchi for dinner and rest.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
• Night Stay: Reecha Resort, Kilinochchi

Day 3 – Friday

Kilinochchi → Mannar → Kilinochchi

• After breakfast, leave for Mannar.
• The journey itself gives you a chance to see the open landscapes and quieter countryside of Northern Sri Lanka.
• Spend the day visiting the important religious, historical and local attractions of Mannar. After lunch and sightseeing, return to Kilinochchi.
• This will be your final night at Reecha Resort.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
• Night Stay: Reecha Resort, Kilinochchi

Day 4 – Saturday

Kilinochchi → Naguleswaram → KKS → Nagapattinam

• After breakfast, check out from Reecha Resort and begin the return journey towards Kankesanthurai.
• Before reaching the port, visit Naguleswaram, one of the important ancient Hindu pilgrimage sites of the Jaffna Peninsula, and spend some time near the adjoining coastal area.
• Continue to KKS Seaport and complete the departure formalities.
• Board the ferry back to Nagapattinam.
• Your four-day Sri Lanka journey ends on arrival in Tamil Nadu, carrying home memories of Jaffna, Trincomalee, Mannar and the northern coast.
