Day 1 – Arrival in Sri Lanka | Munneswaram Temple | Manavari Temple | Kandy
Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, who will assist you throughout your journey.
Your Ramayana pilgrimage begins with a visit to the sacred Munneswaram Temple, one of Sri Lanka's oldest Shiva temples. According to tradition, Lord Rama offered prayers here after defeating King Ravana, seeking forgiveness and blessings before returning to Ayodhya.

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey into Sri Lanka's breathtaking central highlands.
Drive through winding mountain roads lined with emerald-green tea plantations, mist-covered valleys, and cascading waterfalls.
Your first stop is the spectacular Ramboda Falls, one of Sri Lanka's tallest and most picturesque waterfalls. The refreshing mountain air and panoramic surroundings make it an ideal photography stop.
Continue to the sacred Hanuman Temple in Ramboda. According to the Ramayana, Lord Hanuman is believed to have searched this region while looking for Goddess Sita. Today, the temple attracts thousands of pilgrims from around the world.
Proceed to Gayathri Peedam, a peaceful Hindu spiritual centre dedicated to Goddess Gayathri. Devotees visit this temple seeking blessings for prosperity, peace, and spiritual well-being.
Later, continue to Nuwara Eliya, popularly known as "Little England" because of its cool climate, colonial architecture, beautifully maintained gardens, and world-famous tea estates.

According to tradition, this beautiful garden is believed to be the legendary Ashoka Vatika where Goddess Sita spent much of her captivity. Today, the gardens showcase thousands of colourful flowers, giant trees, and rare plant species amidst breathtaking surroundings.
Continue to the nearby Seetha Amman Temple, one of Sri Lanka's most sacred Ramayana pilgrimage sites. It is believed that Goddess Sita prayed here while awaiting Lord Rama's arrival. The temple remains one of the most visited Hindu shrines on the island.
Next, visit Divurumpola Temple, traditionally associated with the Agni Pariksha, where Goddess Sita proved her purity before Lord Rama. The temple continues to attract devotees seeking spiritual blessings.
