Introduction: Jyotirlingas

The 12 Jyotirlingas are holy temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, each representing his divine energy. These sacred shrines are highly revered pilgrimage sites across India. Ayodhya, one of the 108 Divya Desam and Prayagraj, Trivenisangam has also been included with this Jyotirlingas Tour.

Purpose of the Journey: This pilgrimage will take us to 10 of following Jyotirlingas except Rameshwaram and Kedarnath which will be visited in a separate Trip.

Jyotirlingas to be covered on this Tour:

1. Somnath, Gujarat: Protector of Moon God, symbolizing rebirth.
2. Mallikarjuna, Andhra Pradesh: Union of Shiva and Shakti energies.
3. Mahakaleshwar, Ujjain: Powerful deity, grants liberation and protection.
4. Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh: Shiva’s Om symbol, cosmic creation power.
5. Bhimashankar, Maharashtra: Forest deity, protector of natural forces.
6. Kashi Vishwanath, Varanasi: Gateway to salvation on Ganges' sacred banks.
7. Trimbakeshwar, Nashik: Source of the holy Godavari River.
8. Vaidyanath, Jharkhand: Shiva as the supreme healer of ailments.
9. Nageshwar, Dwarka: Protector from evil forces and poisons.
10. Grishneshwar, near Ellora: Last Jyotirlinga, signifies harmony and fulfillment.

Significance: Each Jyotirlinga is a powerful symbol of Shiva’s boundless energy, offering peace and spiritual wisdom.

Essence of the Journey: This journey is a path to spiritual growth and enlightenment, taking us through some of India’s most sacred temples.

Day and Date wise Trip Outline

Day 1: Flight: Depart from Chennai to Hyderabad at 07:55 hrs, arriving at 09:10 hrs (Indigo 6E-295).

• Drive: Hyderabad to Srisailam (approx. 4 hrs, 213 km) by SUV for Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Darshan.
• Overnight: Srisailam.

Day 2: Ahmedabad

• Morning Darshan: Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga.
• Drive: Return to Hyderabad (4 hrs).
• Flight: Hyderabad to Ahmedabad at 18:30 hrs, arriving at 20:25 hrs (Indigo 6E-6727).
• Overnight: Ahmedabad.

Day 3: 27th December

• Drive: Ahmedabad to Dwarka (approx. 7.5 hrs, 440 km).
• Evening Visit: Dwarkadhish Temple Darshan.
• Overnight: Dwarka.

Day 4: Dwarka

• Visits: Nageshwar Temple (Jyotirlinga), Rukmini Temple, Bet Dwarka, and local sightseeing.
• Overnight: Dwarka.

Day 5: Somnath

• Visits: Sudhama Temple, Moola Dwarka, Kirti Mandir, Mukti Dwarka, Triveni Ghat, and Somnath Jyotirlinga Darshan.
• Overnight: Somnath.

Day 6: Ahmedabad

• Morning Visit: Somnath Jyotirlinga.
• Drive: Somnath to Ahmedabad (approx. 6 hrs, 400 km).
• Overnight: Ahmedabad.

Day 7: Bhimashankar

• Flight & Drive: Ahmedabad to Pune (10:25 hrs - 11:40 hrs, Indigo 6E-6095), then drive from Pune to Bhimashankar (approx. 4 hrs, 110 km).
• Evening Visit: Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Darshan.
• Overnight: Bhimashankar.

Day 8: Nasik

• Drive: Bhimashankar to Tryambakeshwar (approx. 4 hrs, 180 km).
• Visit: Tryambakeshwar Jyotirlinga.
• Overnight: Nasik.

Day 9: Shirdi

• Drive: Nasik to Shirdi.
• Visit: Shirdi Sai Baba Temple.
• Overnight: Shirdi.

Day 10: Aurangabad

• Drive: Shirdi to Ghrishneshwar (approx. 3 hrs, 110 km).
• Visit: Morning Ghrishneshwar Jyotirlinga Darshan.
• Overnight: Aurangabad.

Day 11: Omkareshwar

• Flight & Drive: Aurangabad to Indore via Mumbai (Indigo 6E-5223 / 6E-5181, 06:50 hrs - 12:00 hrs).
• Drive: Indore to Omkareshwar (approx. 2 hrs, 80 km).
• Visit: Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Darshan.
• Overnight: Omkareshwar.

Day 12: Indore

• Drive: Omkareshwar to Mahakaleshwar.
• Visit: Morning Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Darshan.
• Drive: Return to Indore.
• Overnight: Indore.

Day 13: Ayodhya

• Flight: Indore to Ayodhya via Delhi (Indigo 6E-2181/6E-2701, 09:20 - 15:10 hrs).
• Evening: Airport pickup, transfer to hotel.
• Overnight: Ayodhya.

Day 14: Prayagraj

• Activities:Visit Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, and Kanak Bhawan.
• Evening: Drive to Prayagraj (175 km, approx. 3 hours).
• Overnight: Prayagraj.

Day 15: Varanasi

• Activities:Hanuman Temple – Reclining statue near Sangam.
• Akshayavat – Sacred banyan within Allahabad Fort.
• Triveni Sangam – Confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati rivers.
• Allahabad Fort – Features the Ashoka Pillar.
• Anand Bhavan – Nehru family museum with independence-era artifacts.
• Evening: Drive to Varanasi (120 km, approx. 2 hours).
• Overnight: Varanasi.

Day 16: Varanasi

• Morning:Sunrise Boat Ride on the Ganges.
• Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple, and Kashi Vishalakshi.
• Afternoon:Kalabhairav Temple.
• Witness the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat.
• Visit Sarnath – Explore Dhamek Stupa and the Archaeological Museum.
• Overnight: Varanasi.

Day 17: Varanasi

• Morning:Local Temple Tour: Durga Temple (Durga Kund), Tulsi Manas Temple, and Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple.
• New Kashi Vishwanath Temple (BHU campus).
• Ramnagar Fort – View artifacts, weaponry, and vintage cars.
• Evening:Return visit to Sarnath.
• Shopping in Old City – Browse bazaars for silk saris, handicrafts, and local sweets.
• Overnight: Varanasi.

Day 18: Vaidyanath

• Train: Varanasi to Jasidih, Vande Bharat Express, 06:20 - 13:15 hrs.
• Transfer & Visit: Arrive in Jasidih, drive to Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple (16 km, approx. 1 hour).
• Overnight: Vaidyanath.

Day 19: Departure to Chennai or Delhi

• Morning Visit: Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga.
