Nearby lies the equally captivating Rakshas Lake, translating to Lake of Demon. Pilgrims pay homage to these sacred waters, believing that immersing oneself or drinking from them purifies the soul and leads to salvation. Both lakes teem with diverse flora and fauna, adding to their mystical attraction.

  • Upon arrival, our team will greet you and smooth your transfer to the hotel, ensuring a comfortable check-in process.
  • Your passports will be collected, and the application for biometric data required for the Kailash tour will be processed quickly at the Visa Facilitation Center (VFC) of the Chinese embassy.
  • In the evening, engage yourself in the spiritual atmosphere with an Aarati Darshan at the sacred Pashupatinath temple. Witness the attractive Aarati holy dance on the banks of the revered Bagmati River, enhancing your spiritual journey.
  • After a day filled with travel and spiritual experiences, return to the hotel and indulge in a delectable vegetarian buffet dinner, savoring the flavors of Nepali cuisine. Relax and unwind, preparing for the adventures that await you in the days ahead.
12th September 2024 (Day 02): Full day Kathmandu Sightseeing
  • ·A guided holy sightseeing journey starting with a visit to the significant Kailash Nath Mahadev Statue. Towering grandly, this statue stands as one of the tallest Shiva temples in Nepal, second only to the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue in Bali, Indonesia. Situated in Sanga, Nepal, approximately 20 km from Kathmandu, this awe-inspiring statue stands at a height of 144 feet (44 m), crafted exactly using a blend of copper, zinc, cement, and steel.
  • After immersing yourself in the spiritual feeling of the Kailash Nath Mahadev Statue, continue your journey to Doleshwor Mahadev. It is believed that the pilgrimage to Kailash remains incomplete without paying homage at Doleshwar Mahadev Temple. On August 22, 2009, Doleshwar Mahadev was officially recognized as the head of Kedarnath, one of the Char Dham Yatra destinations. In 2013, following the shocking floods that struck the Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand, the regular prayers were shifted to Doleshwar Temple, fulfilling the spiritual needs of followers.
  • Return to the hotel for a refreshing lunch before proceeding to explore the renowned Buddhist Temple Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Named after its wonderful stupa, Boudhanath is a important pilgrimage destination for Tibetans. Visitors are enchanted by the magnificence of the glowing white dome adorned with painted Buddha eyes, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment. Surrounding monasteries and schools offer opportunities for prayers and seminars, enhancing the spiritual experience.
  • Alternatively, if time permits, opt for a visit to Swaymbhunath, known as the "Monkey Temple" due to its resident monkey population. Perched atop a hillock in the northwest of Kathmandu city, Swaymbhunath offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. This holy site, blending Buddhist stupas with Hindu temples, has been a example of faith and harmony for centuries, contributing to the cultural richness of the Kathmandu Valley.
13th September 2024 (Day 03): Rudrabhishek and Gujeswari
  • Begin the day with an auspicious start as Kailash pilgrims are guided to the sacred grounds of Pasupatinath temple for the great Rudra Consecration, known as Rudra Abhishek, Hawan, and Aarati. Witness the solemn rituals conducted by eleven Brahmin priests, commencing with the Sankalpa Pooja followed by Swasti Vachan, Nyas, Rudra preaching, and Mahamritunjaya Pooja. The term ‘Rudra’ derived from Rudrabhishek shows the almighty Lord Shiva, who eases mankind from earthly sorrows, bestowing justice, health, prosperity, peace, and salvation.
  • Delve deeper into the spiritual significance of Kailash Manasarovar pilgrimage, a trip revered as supreme affiliated to visiting numerous Jyotirlingas and Shiva Temples. In the divine ladder, humans surpass souls, sages transcend humans, gods surpass sages, and Lord Shiva reigns supreme above all gods, with Kailash serving as His divine abode. Hence, no pilgrimage is deemed complete without embarking on the sacred Kailash journey. It’s a usual religious custom to seek blessings for a successful Kailash Tour through Rudra Consecration and fire offering to Lord Pashupatinath, a ceremony covering approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Following Rudra Abhishek, participate in the Panchamrit Pooja held at Pashupatinath temple daily from 9:30 AM to 11 AM, administered by Bhatta pujari. This offering, available within the temple premises, involves a payable Pooja wherein devotees present Pooja Thali, milk, Rudrachhe mala, flower garland, and a lamp to the priest. By invoking Panchamrit Pooja upon Lord Pasupatinath, devotees seek fulfillment of all their desires for the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra.
  • As the day unfolds, pay worship at the Gujeswari / Guyeshori Shakti Pith temple, revered by both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. According to Hindu mythology, this sacred site holds significance as it is believed to be the spot where a part of Goddess Sati, the consort of Lord Shiva, fell during her self-immolation. Legend has it that after being insulted by her husband, Sati Devi plunged into the Yagya Kund (sacred fire pit), and her body parts scattered across 51 Shakti Piths. Guyeshori, where her secret part is said to have fallen, stands as a protecting deity of the Kathmandu Valley.
  • Conclude the day’s spiritual journey with a visit to Jal Narayan Budhanilkantha temple, placed in the tranquil surroundings of Budhanilkantha. This open-air Hindu temple pays worship to Lord Vishnu, including a striking relaxing statue of Vishnu resting serenely amidst a cosmic ocean of water. The temple's name, Budhanilkantha, derived from two fascinating legends associated with the statue, symbolizes the divine connection between mythology and reality, summarizing the essence of Nepal’s rich spiritual heritage.
